Cardboard boat races in Aurora

A record 19 boats are scheduled to participate in the eighth annual What Floats Your Cardboard Boat Race at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Mastodon Lake in Aurora's Phillip's Park.

The race launches Fox Valley United Way's 2010-11 fundraising campaign.

The event is free. Fox Valley United Way supports more than 50 agencies serving more than a dozen communities, including Aurora and North Aurora.
