Milwaukee police find exotic animals in houses

MILWAUKEE -- Police and animal control specialists were investigating Thursday who owns hundreds of alligators, turtles and snakes found in a home and a warehouse in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Police Lt. Paul Felician said that there were also at least five anaconda snakes, ranging in size from 20 to 30 feet in length and probably several hundred pounds. He says there were also spiders and a chicken.

WTMJ-TV reported that police requested assistance from the State Department of Natural Resources. A federal investigation is expected since the animals were likely moved across state lines.

Investigators were looking for the owner of the animals Thursday.
