Choirs to present Lenten season concert finale in West Dundee

Six weeks of ecumenical organ recitals culminate with a colossal finale choral concert.

Seventy-five singers, handbells, brass, strings and clergy from eight area churches will join together in music and prayer to celebrate the Lenten season at 4 p.m. today, March 28, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 845 W. Main St., West Dundee.

A prelude of instrumental music will begin at 3:40 p.m.

An offering will be accepted to defray expenses and provide support for future programs.

Organ recitals are offered Thursdays during Lent at the various participating churches.

Those attending the Palm Sunday Concert are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item or personal care item to benefit FISH Food Pantry in Carpentersville. Toiletries especially needed are soap, shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant.
