Body of missing Hanover Park man found

The body of a Hanover Park man missing since Jan. 19 has been found.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit on Tuesday recovered a male from Montrose Harbor, who has been preliminarily identified as Richard J. Wieting. A Cook County Medical Examiner's Office spokesman said an autopsy performed on Wednesday concluded Wieting drowned, but the manner is undetermined.

The 53-year-old Wieting worked for 22 years at the Harwood Heights Postal Office. His car was found near Foster Avenue Beach shortly after he went missing.
