YMCA Seniorpalooza caters to older adultsSep 30, 2021 9:48 AM - Seniorpalooza at the North Suburban YMCA gave older adults a chance to visit the booths of businesses tailored to their needs during last week's event in Northbrook. Kim Nyren, director of community investment at the YMCA, said around 200 people came to visit the booths of 35 vendors located in the gym at the fifth annual event. Educational vendors, senior residences, health care providers and service vendors were among those present.

Northbrook Symphony set to open 42nd seasonSep 30, 2021 9:48 AM - Vivaldi's iconic "The Four Seasons" will open the Northbrook Symphony's 42nd next weekend. Under the direction of Mina Zikri, the symphony will perform the Italian composer's four-movement violin concerti, featuring Chicago Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Robert Chen. Chen recently was named artistic creative partner to the Northbrook Symphony starting in this 2021-22 season.
