St. Catherine of Siena students send letters to Pope Francis

Fourth-grade students in Sally Quinlan's class at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in West Dundee recently wrote letters to Pope Francis.

It was a culminating activity associated with reading the book, Dear Pope Francis, in which Pope Francis answers letters received from children around the world.

"The students wrote personal letters to Pope Francis asking questions and also included beautiful drawings, too," said Quinlan.

"The letters have been sent to the Vatican and they are praying hard now hoping to receive a response from Pope Francis."
