Tri-Cities baseball round-up

Geneva 10, Sandwich 1: Cory Hofstetter batted 3-for-4 with a homer as the Vikings (1-0) trounced Sandwich. AJ Sarantopolous also homered, and on the mound, he allowed one run over four innings and fanned seven.

Marmion 5, West Aurora 2: The host Cadets (1-0) scored four runs in the third inning, capped by CJ Foster's RBI double. Matt Milroy singled and scored in the inning and batted 2-for-3 in the game. On the mound, he allowed six hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. For the Blackhawks (1-1), Jake Bauer hit an RBI pinch-hit double in the sixth.

Aurora Central Catholic 4, North Boone 2: The Chargers scored three runs in the fifth and they picked up their first win of the year in six games. Brian O'Donnell picked up the win on the mound and Ken Litrenta homered.
