Bridge fall death ruled accidental
The Cook County medical examiner's office has ruled that the weekend death of a Wisconsin man who fell from a bridge in downtown Chicago was accidental.
After an autopsy was performed Sunday, the office said 44-year-old Brian Glynn of Janesville died of head injuries. It did not order toxicology tests.
Police say Glynn fell 30 feet from the North Columbus Drive bridge over the Chicago River on Saturday afternoon and landed on a concrete walkway 30 feet below.
He was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died a short time later.
