Sculfield moving to 'Morning Riot' on 'GCI
As of April, there'll be a riot goin' on at urban-contemporary WGCI 107.5-FM.
'GCI announced Thursday that afternoon-drive host Tony Sculfield will be shifting to head "The Morning Riot" from 5 to 9 with co-hosts Nina Chantele, Leon Rogers, Ty Wansley and Latina Moore, effective Wednesday, April 1.
UB Rodriguez will take over afternoon drive on an interim basis until a formal disc jockey is named. Bionce Foxx holds down middays from 9 to 2.
Chantele and Rogers will be doing double duty. Chantele will continue to hold her midday shift on Clear Channel Communications' Top 40 sibling station WKSC 103.5-FM, and Rogers will remain evening DJ on 'GCI alongside Frankie Robinson.
Art Porter will produce "The Morning Riot," returning to 'GCI from its adult-urban sibling station WVAZ 102.7-FM.
The move was prompted by Clear Channel's shift of Steve Harvey's syndicated morning show from 'GCI to V103.
'GCI, which typically fought personality-talk WGN 720-AM for first place in Chicago before Arbitron went to the People Meter system, tied for 12th in monthly ratings released this week with a 2.8 percent share of the overall audience 12 and older.
