Just say no to funding by lawyers

John Noverini has been a practicing attorney for over 20 years, a Certified Circuit Court Arbitrator since 1995 and a professor of Law, Government and Ethics at Judson University for 14 years. Suddenly he is not qualified to sit on the bench in Kane County? The good old boy system is alive and well at the Kane County courthouse.

Noverini has refused donations from trial attorneys, but his opponent's race is being funded by trial attorneys. Big surprise: the trial attorney poll recommends the campaign they have been pouring money into. See for yourself at www.elections.state.il.us/.

Noverini believes to accept contributions from attorneys is a conflict of interest. How confident are you of an unbiased opinion from a judge, when the other side's attorney was a donor to that judge? The proper time for the judge to display their level of ethics is when they receive a donation from a trial attorney and they return it - Noverini's opponent did not.

For over 10 years, I have been proud to support John Noverini, from his first election as a village trustee to his current second term on the Kane County Board. He has proved his integrity in his many years of elected service. I don't need a biased trial attorney poll to help me make my decision, and hopefully you don't either.
