Fire training session set

Aurora Fire Department will conduct training sessions from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. today, weather permitting, on Fox Valley Park District property at 646 S. River St., Aurora. Recently hired firefighters will be trained in proper techniques at a vacant building on the site. The final burn of the entire structure will come about 3 p.m. and likely will generate a good deal of smoke, officials said.

Used book sale in Oak Brook

Friends of the Oak Brook Public Library will sponsor a used book sale from April 23 through 25 at the library, 600 Oak Brook Road.
