• Matthew Paulus of Lake Zurich was named to the dean's list for the fall 2008 term at North Central College in Naperville.

• Jason Greenwood of Wildwood was named to the dean's list for the first semester of the 2008-09 school year at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Greenwood is a Sophomore at Miami and a graduate of Warren Township High School in Gurnee.

• Samantha Greenwood was named to the dean's list for the first semester of the 2008-09 school year at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. She is also a senior co-captain of the swimming and diving team. Greenwood is a graduate of Warren Township High School in Gurnee.

• Alex Dreyer of Gurnee received a bachelor of science degree in administration of justice from Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wis., at the university's fall commencement.

• Angela Smith of Round Lake was named to the dean's list for the fall 2008 semester at Widener University in Chester, Pa.

• Lee Elrod of Libertyville, a junior Chemistry major in the College of Arts and Sciences, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2008 semester at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt.
