Bush does not deserve our respect
The more I hear and read, the more I believe calling George Bush president is a mistake.
He does not qualify to earn that honorable title.
He is, and has been, as has been written before, "stupefyingly incompetent," and so has his partner, Cheney, and most of his administration and cabinet.
He does not deserve the honor, the respect, the deference of a nation that, typically honors its elected politicians.
Most of the pols in his party, if not all of them, run like blazes from his endorsement or support, and, certainly avoid appearing with him in any political or social events except perhaps Carl Rove, the Donald Segretti/Chuck Colson of this decade.
So from now on, when it is necessary to speak of him or of his idiotic acts or words or 'round the world trips, let's just say, George Bush did this or said that or did whatever he did.
Of course, we were not too smart either. We elected him twice.
