Feds move to focus Blago trial

Prosecutors are asking a federal judge to drop Springfield power broker William Cellini as a co-defendant in the corruption case against former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Judge James Zagel is likely to grant the motion, since Cellini's lawyers have been making the same request for months.

The action would not drop charges against Cellini, long known as one of the most influential behind the scenes figures in Illinois politics.

Cellini is accused of attempting to squeeze Hollywood producer Thomas Rosenberg for a payoff -- or campaign contribution to -- Blagojevich in exchange for state business.
