No. 12 York (15-13) vs. No. 4 Morton (22-5)
When: 7:30 p.m. today.
Outlook: "Al's at his best when he's a big underdog," Morton coach Tony Martinucci said of York coach and regional final host Al Biancalana. No. 5 seed Foreman can agree after York's 63-53 overtime win. Morton's favored too, with veterans Luke Scarlata, Raul Guzman, Joe Belcaster and Oscar Macias all scoring 11-15 points a game. York sophomore Will Sullivan scored a personal-high 32 points Wednesday, but it'll take a village against Morton, co-champs of the West Suburban Gold and the Proviso West titlist. Martinucci's Mustangs will pound it inside with 6-foot-8 Scarlata and 6-5, 280-pound Guzman. How York's 6-4 Joe Santiago, 6-3 Tom Roth and 6-3 Tom Judge rebound and defend the paint will help tell this story. "We have to solve how to counter Scarlata in the post," Biancalana said.
