Bartlett teen charged with biting man after entering car
A Bartlett 17-year-old has been arrested for biting a man after getting into his car, police said.
Thomas Alagna, of the 200 block of Irvington Court, was arrested Monday night near Francine and Country drives after police found him highly intoxicated with narcotics, Sgt. Michael McGuigan said. Alagna had entered an unlocked car near his home around 8 p.m., and when the car's owner arrived they scuffled and Alagna bit him, McGuigan said.
Alagna, who didn't know the car owner, also had brass knuckles in his possession but didn't use them, police said.
Police drove Alagna to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates because of his high intoxication level, authorities said. Alagna was charged with misdemeanor battery, criminal trespass to vehicle and unlawful use of a weapon.
He was released from custody and awaits an April 21 court date in DuPage County.
