S. Barrington 'Idol' hopeful doesn't make the cut

Aw, nuts. South Barrington's Michael SanFilippo made it to Hollywood, but didn't make the cut for the Top 24 on "American Idol" Wednesday night. Guess that means the 19-year-old Barrington High School alumnus is back home, continuing his studies at Harper College and singing lead vocals for the band, Bright Like Japan. So close ... and yet, so far.
