How about a peace memorial?

Memory is a precious island that allows us to see a clear and beautiful vision of peace. Memory is the growing island of emerging truth. The island of memory can be inundated by relentless waves of negativity that try to erase both historical truth and the vision of future peace.

We have small diverse initiatives to train peacemakers. They should be united and supported by everyone in Congress, no exceptions. It should be a memorable and inspirational initiative. We need a large force of trained peacemakers that is at least as formidable as our military. We also need to send a three-letter call-sign for peace, P-A-X, to emanate from atop the tallest building in our country to all the islands and continents of our planet.

We can fund, through voluntary tax-deductible contributions, a United States Peace Foundation that will completely fund the care of our wounded military heroes and a United States Peace Academy. We can build a United States Freedom Tower, 1776 feet tall, on Manhattan Island in New York to house our own world class United States Peace Academy. Free courses could be offered online to everyone. Everyone could and should participate in changing our world culture to one of nonviolence. Donations could be worth a double-credit as a tax deduction!
