Colonialism died with communism

Regarding the Feb. 28 letter of Terry Tallian of Wood Dale, I hope Terry has children or grandchildren he can send to the hills of Afghanistan. Also I hope he is willing to send the invoice such folly to those children and grandchildren. If he does not have children or is not willing to send them, then Terry should pull in his bravado and forever hold his peace. The sun is setting on our empire and we need to bring our troops home no matter where they are. We have met the enemy and he is us. Colonialism ended with communism. Let's face it.
