Batavia police nab 5 on drug charges

Batavia police arrested five men on felony drug charges Wednesday.

Glen T. Fowler, 26; Theodore A. Moore, 29; Willis Mitchell, 25; and Edward J. Paschal, 38, all of Aurora, were each charged with two counts of cocaine manufacturing or delivery and possession of a controlled substance, court records show. A fifth man, James J. Jorgensen, 30, of Batavia, was charged with cocaine manufacturing or delivery, manufacturing or delivering a look-alike, and possession of a controlled substance, according to public records.

Batavia police released no information on the arrests, and it was unclear if Jorgensen was charged in connection with the other four. Jorgensen's offense took place Tuesday, while the others were dated Wednesday, according to the charges filed Thursday in Kane County Circuit Court.

The charges also accuse Fowler, Moore, Mitchell and Paschal of drug delivery or manufacturing near a school or park, but the charges do not specify where.

All five of the men were being held in the Kane County jail Thursday pending March 19 court appearances before Kane County Judge Timothy Q. Sheldon. Bond information was not immediately available.
