A candidate who collaborates
I am expressing my support for Connie Sunderhaus for Milton Township trustee. She has served as a nurse, a certified case manager and a consultant in educational resources in health care. She has served on both public and professional boards including two elected terms on the Villa Park Elementary District 45 board and has been elected to both national and local boards of directors of large professional organizations. In those positions she has successfully used the following traits: 1. Active participant: Ask questions, probe, clarify issues and do homework to know and understand the topics; do the research. 2. Leadership: Build consensus and introduce new topics and concerns. 3. Communicator: Listen, clarify issues, identify what needs to happen and insure transparency in actions. She will bring these traits to the Milton Township as a trustee. She will collaborate and coordinate - that is what a case manager does. By collaborating and coordinating with the elected officials, citizens, other taxing bodies and service providers, the township will offer enhanced services and remain budget neutral in the process.
