Still waiting for answers on warming

While driving home from work, I was impressed to see a billboard set up to press Congresswoman Melissa Bean on global warming. I agree with the strides that this organization is taking to get Bean's attention. The election is drawing closer and we have yet to hear a plan of action on Bean's part. It seems as though the issue of global warming is not being taken seriously. Bean's campaign defends her proactive stance on the environment by listing measures that she has supported regarding the environment "including an initiative that encourages investment in recycling technology." These examples are not substantial solutions. Scientists tell us that we need to cut emissions 80 percent by 2050, if Bean wants to call herself a leader on the environment. she should be making these types of significant commitments. Neither Melissa Bean nor Steve Greenberg has offered up a substantial plan for our planet's future. I hope that one of them will come out with support for science-based solutions.
