Aurora police investigating stabbing death of man found in car

Aurora police are asking the public's help as they investigate the apparent stabbing death of a 31-year-old Aurora man discovered early Saturday.

Police found the man, identified as Bradley Vahl, sitting unresponsive in a red, 1993 Chevrolet Lumina parked in the 1100 block of Grand Boulevard about 3:30 a.m., following a 911 call from a resident. The victim had a stab wound in his back.

Aurora Fire Department paramedics took Vahl, of the 500 block of Webster Street, to Rush Copley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at about 8:40 a.m.

It is unclear where or when the stabbing happened.

Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at (630) 801-6655 or call the Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000. An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for Monday morning.
