Des Plaines man accused of police impersonation

A Des Plaines man has been charged with forcing a 43-year-old man to pay a weekly fee for a year by threatening him with a gun and pretending to be a Chicago police officer.

Raul Eiseman, 44, was charged with aggravated false impersonation of police, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault, according to the Chicago Police Department. He appeared in bond court Friday.

Eiseman is accused of making the victim think he was a police officer, but the police say he didn't display any Chicago police identification to the individual.

Eiseman was allegedly arrested in a sting operation in which he was going to the victim's house to collect the weekly fee. When he was arrested on the scene, police say he had a handgun in his possession, a phony police badge, handcuffs and an expandable baton.

Eiseman was found not guilty on Nov. 15, 2011.
