What's so great about entertainment in '08?
This is the year your childhood comes back to the big screen.
An exciting year at the movies starts Jan. 18 with the much-hyped monster movie "Cloverfield," but the month of May has the potential to be the year's most exciting.
The summer of '08 starts with a bang. "Iron Man" brings another major Marvel superhero to life courtesy of "Elf" director Jon Favreau and star Robert Downey Jr.
The Wachowski brothers, that Chicago duo behind "The Matrix," brings a beloved cartoon to life in the candy-colored "Speed Racer."
"The Chronicles of Narnia" continue with "Prince Caspian," in which the heroic Pevensie kids return to the enchanted land and find that it has aged more than a thousand years.
But all of those pale to what's waiting on May 22: "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," the long-awaited fourth installment in the adventure series from Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford -- and this time, Indy's bringing Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf.
Wait -- are there any adults out there who seem a bit underwhelmed by these action-packed offerings? Then perhaps the big-screen version of "Sex and the City," coming May 30th, is more your speed.
