Tax preparation services offered
AURORA - Aurora University's Dunham School of Business will offer the second of six free income tax-form preparation services, called Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in the lobby of Dunham Hall, 1400 Marseillaise Place in Aurora. Free e-filing is available for taxpayers who qualify. Undergraduate accounting students supervised by three accounting professors who are CPAs provide the service. Free blood pressure checks and memory screenings will be offered at a Health and Community Services Expo in conjunction with the service. The program continues on four Saturdays: March 7, 21, 28, and April 4. No reservations are accepted. The income limit is $50,000. Bilingual college students will provide translation assistance for Spanish-speaking taxpayers.
