3 men post bond on burglary charges

Three men posted bond and were released Saturday after being charged with burglarizing an ice cream store in Elgin.

Humberto Corona, 17, and Rogelio Luna, 18, both Elgin High School seniors, and Jose Corona, 19, of Elgin, were arrested Friday. On Aug. 13, the burglary alarm went off at a Dairy Queen in Elgin and a neighboring business person saw three men leave the scene.

The witness gave police the car's license plate number. An investigation led to their arrest Friday, according to Assistant State's Attorney James Pontrelli. All three were released after posting bonds Saturday.

They are scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. March 25 in Rolling Meadows.
