George Ryan doesn't deserve clemency

Am I the only one who is sick and tired of reading about "poor George Ryan?" He has been in prison for 15 months, and since day one all he ever cared about was being released early.

Does he have no remorse or guilt over killing an entire family? His entire career has been filled with corruption, yet he still believes he should be let out of prison. He started asking for clemency saying he is too old for prison. Now he is playing the "my wife is sick" card.

We all have loved ones that are sick and dying. The difference is none of us spent our entire life deceiving taxpayers and killing innocent people to benefit our financial future. I, for one, think George Bush was right in not showing mercy toward George Ryan. I can only hope that President Obama agrees and refuses to release him also. Jim Thompson states that Ryan has some "unfortunate circumstances" in his past, but hopes President Obama will see past that and have a positive view of the former governor. Are you kidding me?

Here's a thought for Thompson and the entire Ryan family who are just devastated because George is not being released: The next time you are crying about George being in prison, why don't you think about the innocent Willis family. Six children ... six! The Willis family will never be able to see or hug their children again. There is no clemency or early mourning release for them. They will forever grieve the loss of those children. Children who will never grow old like George Ryan.

Ryan was sentenced to 6½ years in prison. The Willis family was sentenced to life without their children. Now I ask you, does anyone think George Ryan deserves to be let out of prison?
