Driver faces 14 charges in crash that killed 3

EDWARDSVILLE -- A St. Louis man faces 14 felony charges -- including driving under the influence -- after allegedly driving the wrong way on a southwestern Illinois highway, killing three people and injuring a fourth.

Bond was set at $1 million Thursday for 46-year-old Newton Keene.

Police say the crash happened early Thursday when Keene was driving north in the southbound lanes of Illinois Route 255 near Edwardsville and collided with the victims' oncoming car.

The Madison County coroner has identified the victims as 28-year-old Jon Moss of Dellwood, Mo., 32-year-old Tawanda Jackson and her 9-year-old son Arnold, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Jackson's 11-year-old daughter Takia remains hospitalized, as does Keene.

It was not immediately clear whether Keene has an attorney.
