North Chicago handles Boylan, earns return to 3A's Final Four

Ishaun Walker scored 16 points, Quency Gilmore added 15 points and 10 rebounds, and North Chicago's boys basketball team defeated Rockford Boylan Catholic 69-55 to capture the Class 3A Sears Centre Arena supersectional in Hoffman Estates on Tuesday night.

DyShawn Gales and Raeshaun Samoa added 14 and 11 points, respectively, for the Warhawks (22-8), who advance to the state semifinals and will play Springfield Southeast (25-3) at 1 p.m. Friday at Carver Arena in Peoria.

It's North Chicago's first trip to state since 2012, when the Warhawks finished second.
