Lots of space for growing families at Grant's Grove
Grant's Grove, a new single-family home community, features large homes for young families with children on oversized home sites in a picturesque setting surrounded by nature.
The Pulte Homes' community has a mature wooded setting with natural wetlands and several scenic water features that create a park-like atmosphere. Amenities include a bike path, a playground for kids and a recreation area for family picnics or lawn games.
Located just west of Grass Lake Road and Route 45 on Gelden Road in Lindenhurst, the Pulte Homes community offers 112 homes with a choice of four two-story floor plans with four bedrooms, 2½ baths, library, full basement and attached two- or three-car garage. Most homes back up to woodlands, open space, wetlands or Hendrick Lake.
"As shoppers tour our models, they should keep in mind that these homes come loaded with great included features called Signature Standards™," said Chris Naatz, vice president of sales and marketing for the Illinois division of Pulte Homes. "These features include 9-foot first-floor ceilings, 42-inch maple cabinets, wooden stair rails, quartz countertops, GE appliances, hardwood or ceramic tile in the kitchen and foyer plus a fully sodded, oversized home site."
One of two models is The Scarborough, priced from $429,990 with 3,422 square feet, four bedrooms, 2½ baths, full basement and attached two-car garage.
This home has a relaxed, transitional interior with dark cherry woods and a rust and olive color scheme with chocolate and black accents.
Columns define the formal living and dining room on either side of the two-story foyer. The living room has a bay window, and is furnished with a rust sofa and love seat, animal print chair and two gold-framed paintings above the sofa. An ornate gold-framed mirror highlights the formal dining room. Although the table is set for eight, the room is large enough to accommodate an even larger table for holiday family gatherings. A butler pantry is located between the dining room and kitchen.
Adjacent to the family room, the corner library features an equestrian theme.
The two-story family room features a warm color scheme with more of a rustic feel and is accessorized with plants, pottery and urns. Above the brick fireplace with wood mantel, decorative molding, sconce detail and metal grill artwork reach the ceiling.
Decorated in a coffee motif, the kitchen features stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple cabinets with crown molding and rollout shelves, and quartz countertops. Amenities include a huge center island with breakfast bar and extra storage, planning desk and pantry.
With a double-door entry into the master suite, the sleeping area features a tray ceiling and reading space. The bath with his and hers vanities has a corner soaking tub and walk-in shower. A large walk-in closet is located off the bath.
Three secondary bedrooms include a guest room, young girl's bedroom and nursery. Two of the bedrooms have a walk-in closet.
The Wilshire, priced from $369,990, has 2,470 square feet with four bedrooms, 2½ baths, full basement and attached two-car garage.
Decorated with an eclectic look, this home features a very current color scheme of peacock blue, salmon and chocolate brown.
The living room and dining room flank the two-story foyer. A brocade sofa and two paisley print chairs furnish the living room, creating an intimate space for conversation. The formal dining room features a wood table set for six and a large round mirror with candles on either side.
The library is set up as a command center where all family members can use the computers.
The family room features a brick fireplace with wood mantel. A mix of textures adds interest in this room where a burgundy sofa, brown leather chair and two brown and white fabric chairs provide plenty of seating.
The kitchen has a Tuscan décor and Old World feel with brick wallpaper and a wall display of copper cookware. The room includes stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple Merillat cabinets with crown molding, Zodiaq quartz countertops, pantry and center island.
Topped with a cathedral ceiling, the master suite includes a large retreat area for relaxation. The bed with blue cover sits against a chocolate wall. The wallpapered bath features dual sinks, soaking tub, and a walk-in shower with a clear glass door. There's a walk-in closet off the bath.
Three secondary bedrooms include a girl's room with a cheerleading theme and young boys' rooms with Pirates of the Caribbean motif, complete with treasure chest and map.
Also available are The Birmingham, from $399,990 with 3,036 square feet, and The Devonshire, from $427,990 with 3,372 square feet.
