Hoffman Estates Redhawks hoping for national three-peat

The Hoffman Estates Redhawks Pee Wee football team will begin fundraising this weekend for a third consecutive trip to the Pop Warner Division II Pee Wee National Championship game in Orlando, Florida, if it wins Friday's regional championship.

The Redhawks have won the national championship the past two years. There has not yet been a Pop Warner team to win three years in a row.

If Friday's regional game is won, the team will be collecting donations for their trip to Florida from motorists at the intersection of Roselle and Higgins roads from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both Saturday, Nov. 26, and Sunday, Nov. 27.
