Wrong revolutionary, Mr. Clarbour
Mr. Clarbour attributes the phrase, "We have only begun to fight" to Paul Revere.
Paul Revere was a noted revolutionary known for riding his horse through the colonies alerting the colonists that, "The British are coming, the British are coming."
John Paul Jones, a naval captain, used the phrase, "I have only begun to fight" when the British armada requested that he surrender his ship during a naval battle.
It is curious that Mr. Clarbour is given a byline in the Daily Herald to express his views. Why doesn't he use the fencepost like most of we seniors?
