Arlington Heights police looking for man who tried to rob fitness club

Arlington Heights police are looking for a man who tried to rob the XSport Fitness club at Dundee and Kennicott roads at about 10:40 a.m. on Saturday.

Witnesses said the man is white, 6 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs about 200 pounds. He is between 25 and 30 years old and has a light beard and a mustache. After demanding money, the man left the scene in an older sedan, possibly a 1997 to 1999 Ford Crown Victoria.

The suspect was also wearing a mustard yellow hooded suede coat, a knit cap and sun glasses. Any one with information should contact Arlington Heights Detective Joe Pinnello at (847) 368-5356.
