Bartlett police charge 43-year-old man with abusing teen
Bartlett police have charged a 43-year-old man with molesting an underage teenager.
William Kubovy, of the 200 block of Primrose Lane in Bartlett, has a March 9 court date in Rolling Meadows on two felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one misdemeanor count of criminal exploitation of a child, Bartlett police Sgt. Michael McGuigan. Kubovy was arrested on Jan. 23.
Kubovy committed various acts of abuse with a teen under his care, McGuigan said. Bartlett police arrested Kubovy in an unrelated matter and served him with an order of protection last month after he was charged with domestic battery, McGuigan said.
McGuigan said police waited until Tuesday to announced the new charges as they were investigating if Kubovy had other victims. Kubovy was given a $150,000 bond.
This is the second announcement of an arrest of man charged with molesting a teenager in Bartlett in two days. Police on Monday announced the arrest of 28-year-old Piotr Osinski, whose last listed address was in Wheeling, and charged him with abusing a 16-year-old girl.
