Vote put needs of people before profits

It is a triumph of democracy, when the needs of the constituents are put ahead of the demands of special interests who seek profits ahead of the common good. It is sad that the current state of campaign finances make it an active courage for representatives to stand up to industries enriched from cheating their consumers. This is particularly the case with health care where the outcome is literally life or death.

I appreciate my Representative, Melissa Bean, for voting for affordable health care. She stood up to those that tried to misinform about the public about the legislation.

I know it will be a matter of time before the fears of those constituents can be assured but since the rest of the developed world can do this, I have faith we can as well.

The trick is to put the interests of the people ahead of profits. I think it should be clear that those voting against health care were more interested in lining their campaign coffers than they were in serving the people.
