Japanese Garden tour

Help with tax preparation
Waubonsee Community College is offering free income tax assistance from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at the college's Aurora campus, 5 E. Galena Blvd. The site will be closed March 25 and 28. Waubonsee students and volunteers will help prepare tax returns and file them electronically. Families can also get help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA). Families with annual incomes of less than $45,000 and individuals with annual incomes of less than $20,000 are eligible for assistance. People seeking tax help should bring a copy of their 2007 tax return, if they have one; W-2 forms and 1099s from all 2008 jobs; Social Security cards for all family members; and a photo ID. Nominate technology students
The Illinois Technology Foundation is accepting nominations through Monday for 50 for the Future, an event honoring Illinois' most promising technology students. Students will be judged by leading Chicago CIOs from Baxter, Abbott, Allstate, Walgreens and other corporations. Teachers, parents, and mentors can visit 50forthefuture.org to nominate eligible Illinois high school, college, and graduate students.
Restaurant has food drive
