Algonquin
• Lashonda D. Coleman, 22, of 1235 Amanda Circle, Elgin, was charged with driving while license suspended, no seat belt and two counts of failure to secure a child in a child restraint seat, police said. She was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday while driving at Route 31 and Huntington Drive. Coleman was released on her signature with a Jan. 7 court date in Woodstock.
• Police responded at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday to the 400 block of South Randall Road to a report that a woman left two children unattended in a car. Erica M. Reining, 34, of 303 E. Oak St., Lake in the Hills, was charged with two counts of endangering the life/health of a child, police said. Reining posted a $100 bond and was released with a Jan. 7 court date in Woodstock.
• Police arrested a Lake in the Hills woman Thursday evening following a traffic accident. Angela M. Wang, 23, of 131 Northlight Pass, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident. She was released on a recognizance bond with a Jan. 7 Woodstock court date.
Carpentersville
• A 29-year-old Carpentersville man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Thursday after he gave an officer two false names during a traffic stop at Route 25 and Ball Street, police said. Andrew D. Toney, of 5 Oxford Drive #5, was charged with felony obstruction of justice, failure to secure registration, no driver's license and no insurance, police said. He initially was stopped when a license plate check showed the vehicle's registration came back for a different type of car than the one being driven, police said. Toney's bond was set at $300 and he remained in the Carpentersville lockup early Friday afternoon. His next court date is on Dec. 19 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
Elgin
• Adan Zamudio, 23, of 1396 Borden Drive, Elgin, was arrested late Thursday on two felony counts of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence, police said. Zamudio, police said, presented officers a driver's license that had expired in May 2006 when pulled over on suspicion of drunken driving. He also was cited for no driver's license, no insurance, improper display of registration and no front license plate, police said. He was unable to post a $500 bond and was taken to the Kane County jail Friday morning. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Dec. 19 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• A PlayStation 3, numerous games and numerous DVDs valued at approximately $1,350 were reported stolen Thursday from a home on the 1000 block of Cold Spring Road.
South Elgin
• A passenger in a 1999 Ford Expedition stopped at 6:15 p.m. Sunday was arrested on four outstanding warrants, police said. Dimitri Acker, 28, of 431 Addison St., Elgin, was wanted on two Kane County warrants, one DuPage County warrant and one warrant from Elgin. Total bond on the warrants was $8,400. Acker was unable to post that amount and picked up by DuPage County deputies.
