• Allison Leigh Aird of Rolling Meadows, a student in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, was named to the president's list for the 2007 spring semester for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.

• Zachary Michael Evett of Arlington Heights, a student in the College of Business Administration at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, was named to the president's list for the 2007 spring semester for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.

• Scott Kenneth Lesniak, son of Ken and Kathryn Lesniak of Arlington Heights, completed the Global Awareness Program in the spring of 2007 at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, and received a Global Awareness Program certificate at a May ceremony. Lesniak is a senior majoring in communication studies and a graduate Rolling Meadows High School.

• Christie Isabel Wendel, of Arlington Heights, a student majoring in elementary education at Iowa State University, Ames, was recognized for academic achievement by being named to the 2007 spring dean's list for earning a grade point average of at least 3.50.

• Alescia Ann Roberto of Arlington Heights, a student majoring in microbiology a student majoring in elementary education at Iowa State University, Ames, was recognized for academic achievement by being named to the 2007 spring dean's list for earning a grade point average of at least 3.50.

• Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis., announced the following students were named to the Dean's List in the 2007 spring semester.

• Bryce Larson, son of Glen and Lynn Larson of Arlington Heights, and grandson of Charles and Shirley Larson of Park Ridge, was named a United States National College Award winner in Natural Sciences by the United States Achievement Academy. Larson, who attends Ohio Wesleyan University, was nominated by Professor Dennis C. Radakaugh. Larson will appear in the acdemy's' official collegiate yearbook, which is published annually.

• Sarah Wander of Arlington Heights, a sophomore at Hope College, Holland, Mich., danced in "Peace Within" and "Spelunking" in the college's Student Dance Concert performed in November. She is the daughter of Paul and Pat Wander and a 2006 graduate of Prospect High School.

• Lesley Bartosek of Arlington Heights graduated May 30, 2007 with a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising (LIM) in New York, N.Y.

• The University of Dayton in Ohio named the following students to the 2006-07 winter semester dean's list for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Arlington Heights: Amy Bryniczka; Jillian Kuefner, daughter of George and Virginia Kuefner; Amy Piergalski, daughter of Don and Mary Piergalski; and Colleen Wall, daughter of Lacy and Pamela Wall.

• Sarah Michalczuk of Arlington Heights, a graduate of John Hersey High School, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2007 semester at Washington University's John M. Olin School of Business in St. Louis, Mo. To qualify, she earned a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

• John C. Milano of Arlington Heights graduated May 19, 2007, from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights.
