Situation proves system needs change

After all is said and done, the history books will show a different light on Rob Blagojevich - one which cast shadows.

He defiantly stood ground on his egomaniacal convictions. There is a fine line between losing it and being innovative. He's been straddling that fence.

His direction of combating the system and, in particular, the lobbyist infestation in politics, eventually will lead to greater ethic reform and a stern regard for the good of the public interests.

His maverick, avant-garde, brazen style is a novel approach. Sometimes people are crucified for not being tolerant to obvious weaknesses in our society. Did he overstep his boundaries? Probably stepped on to many toes.

That's politics.

What do we learn here in the long term, is as important as any damages in the short term.

I am one of the few who admire his intellect yet can't quite stand beside him. I support a change in current policies. It's not working the old way.
