FBI seeks 'Button Bandit'
The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Chicago office has released photos of the man suspected to be the "Button Bandit," responsible for robbing a Des Plaines bank and at least two Chicago banks between September and December 2008.
Authorities are looking for a black man, 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foot-9-inches tall, with a medium build and a bald head, an FBI release said.
The suspect was dubbed the "Button Bandit" because he ordered bank employees not to "hit any buttons" during the robberies.
All three robberies were at TCF bank branches, including the 1500 Lee St. location in Des Plaines.
The FBI is asking anyone who recognizes this man or has information about the robberies to call the Chicago office at (312) 421-6700.
