Roberto's Art Salon: Crit Night meets May 31

This summer, Side Street Studio Arts, 15 Ziegler Court in downtown Elgin, is offering "Roberto's Art Salon: Crit Night," monthly critique nights for artists to share their current works in progress or finalized pieces.

All types of art are welcome; visual, performance, music, written, etc. No required registration. Emerging to established artists are invited to bring one to three artworks to the critique.

Suggested donation is $5.

The next "Roberto's Art Salon" will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, May 31. Other dates will be June 28, July 26 and Aug. 30.

Each critique session will involve artist to viewer communication to form a better understanding toward their piece and to further their practice.

Please be punctual and respectful during the critiques.

Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays to Fridays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
