Michel, who has over 25 years of sales and executive leadership experience, served as senior vice president of sales for Holden International and as chief operation officer at Microsystems.
JSH&A, an Oakbrook Terrace-based national public relations agency, promoted Jim Kokoris to president and general manager. Kokoris will continue to oversee day-to-day operations including management of the agency's strategic growth, client programming and staff supervision.
Wally Stamper was appointed chief administrative officer of the Weil Foot and Ankle Institute of Des Plaines. Stamper joined Weil with over 20 years experience in managing medical practices.
Inland Real Estate Brokerage Inc., Oak Brook, named Doug Tarr, who is the regional leasing director of the Office Leasing Services division, Sales Associate of the Year 2008; and Heather Devermann, who is senior director of commercial sales for the Yorkville office, Listing Agent of the Year 2008.
With 25 years of research experience, Dr. Haris Jamil was named vice president of the NanoStem Cell division at Skokie-based Nanolink Inc. He previously held key positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, NeoPharm and Ovation Pharmaceutical Companies. Jamil earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of London.
Wisdom Adhesives, an Elgin-based supplier of environmentally safe and compliant water-based and hot melt adhesives to industrial users worldwide, named Dennis Biazis sales manager for the Midwest and Southeast regions. Biazis previously served with Merial Pharmaceuticals in sales and customer service.
Anthony DiBiase of Burr Ridge was promoted to chief operating officer of U.S. Equities Realty, a full service commercial real estate firm in Chicago.
Lake Forest native and Carmel Catholic High School graduate Chris Salvi, a freshman free safety at Butler University, was recognized by the Division 1-AA Butler University Bulldogs with a Varsity Letter. Salvi was also honored by his teammates with the Unsung Defensive Player Award.

Advocate Health Care named Gurnee resident James Kelley vice president of finance at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, responsible for financial and capital planning. Kelley, who has served as Lutheran General's director of finance since 2002, had been serving as interim vice president, finance. Kelly joined Advocate Health Care in 1995 as a staff accountant.
