Round Lake Beach hosts Hero's Ball

The village of Round Lake Beach Cultural & Civic Center Foundation will present its inaugural Hero's Ball Feb. 21. The event celebrates first-responders in the Round Lake and western Lake County area. Donations of items for the silent auction is requested. Tax preparation for veterans

The Illinois CPA Society is partnering with the Internal Revenue Service to offer free personal income tax return filing assistance to members of the U.S. armed forces who have recently returned, or are still serving in a combat zone or qualified hazardous duty area.
