Hunt, Lauzen follow same sound path

Noah Webster once told the American people to let principle guide them when selecting candidates for public office.

He said character was paramount in making that decision, and warned them that "… If the citizens neglect their duty … corrupt or incompetent men (or women) will be appointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men (and/or women), and the rights of the citizens will be violated and disregarded."

I believe principle was my guide as I cast my vote for Chris Lauzen from the get-go, and he has only strengthened my conviction that he was, and remains, the right man at the right time, first as state senator, and now as a candidate for the U.S. Congress representing the 14th District.

It appears I have the opportunity to exercise that same principle once again, and for another candidate.

Having spent some time talking to Terry Hunt, candidate for state representative of the 50th District, I can honestly say I am convinced that he, too, is the right man at the right time.

Plain-spoken, yet highly knowledgeable of the political matters of this state as well as the private sector, determined to serve the people with honesty and integrity, Hunt's chosen path is ideologically parallel to that chosen by Lauzen.

As far as I'm concerned, you just can't ask for more than that from a candidate for political office.

Mr. Hunt has won me over, and if a majority of the people in the 50th district let principle guide them in the upcoming election, I'm sure he'll be on his way to Springfield in short order.
