Armed home invasion in Barrington Hills

Police are investigating a home invasion in Barrington Hills early today in which three or more men bound and gagged occupants and held them at gunpoint before leaving with an undisclosed amount of property, authorities said.

No one was injured in the incident.

Barrington Hills police said three or more men entered the home in the area of Bateman and Lake Cook Roads through an open basement window. The men ransacked the home and left with cash, jewelry and electronic equipment.

Police were called to the home 2:24 a.m.

Authorities continue to investigate.
