The GOP has placed 'for sale' sign on us
I would suggest to not be confused by the candidate's words since actions speak louder than words.
It is all about the agenda since these candidates will listen much more to their contributors while pandering to the electorate.
The John McCain of 2008 understands this now as the McCain of 2000 did not.
What it comes down to is if we want to continue the dilution of the American way of life, courtesy of the policies of Ronald Reagan and George W Bush.
After all, we can't keep throwing our tax dollars, nor our kids and grandkids tax dollars, at "bridges to nowhere."
That is, unless we want to sell total control of this country to, among others, Saudi Arabia and China.
And let's face it, a federal debt of $10 trillion is insurmountable unless we institute huge tax hikes or huge expenditure decreases. Or we can take the inflationary route by printing more increasingly worthless currency.
Our economy is in a weakened state. The Democrats are "tax and spenders." Their economic concept somewhat controls government debt.
Then we have the Republicans who are "borrowers and spenders." The Republicans are maximizing debt.
And now the Democrats have increasingly become as fiscally irresponsible as the Republicans. But our government is not borrowing from us.
They are borrowing from nations worldwide who are in turn buying this country out from under us.
This for sale sign that is posted on our borders and on our shores is totally unacceptable. And they are buying us with our own money!
Are you Republicans still claiming you're patriotic while big business and your government sell you out?
I can see the top 1 percent of wage earners voting Republican primarily since they received the vast majority of tax cuts.
But with the policy and economic failures of Reagan and Bush too numerous for this space, I cannot understand how the other 99 percent could consider voting Republican this time around.
