All welcome to Judson's FAFSA information night
Judson University's Financial Aid Office hopes to help more than just Judson's students by holding a FAFSA Night from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, in the first-floor labs located in the Lindner Tower at 1151 N. State St. in Elgin.
For this night, Judson's financial aid staff will be available to help students and parents fill out their FAFSA forms. The service is available to Judson students as well as students of other colleges who may need assistance.
Those who are unable to attend the FAFSA Night in person can go online to Judson's FAFSA Live web event. For the FAFSA Live event, Judson will have a financial aid representative available to answer online questions to those who register for the FAFSA Live event. This event will be recorded and available on Judson's website for later use. To register online, visit www.judsonu.edu/Judsonulive.aspx.
"We are offering FAFSA Night to help students continue with education despite the economic difficulties we are all experiencing," said Mike Davis, Judson's financial aid director. "By opening the event up to any student or family who is working to meet their filing deadline was one way that we could give back to our wider community."
For Judson students, filing their FAFSA forms early this year was important because it would help students receive the maximum amount of aid. Each school has its own deadlines for filing the FAFSA. For Judson students, the deadline for filing the FAFSA so students can receive the maximum amount of financial available is March 1. Those Judson students who file their FAFSA between March 2 and May 1 will receive partial awards based on the availability of funds. A FAFSA filed by Judson students after May 1 will not be eligible for any institutional aid.
To file your FAFSA, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.
