Picnic to benefit Huntley girl with malignant brain tumor
The friends of Teagan Haniszewski, whose nickname is "Princess Teagan," will host a Picnic for a Princess from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Jewel Food Store, 150 E. Main St., Barrington.
Two-year-old Teagan, of Huntley, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in May.
Her parents, South Barrington police officer Bryant Haniszewski and his wife, Carley, have been at Children's Memorial Hospital by Teagan's side since that day in May.
As Teagan and her family battle this disease, the medical bills are mounting.
The picnic will include grilled brats, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, chips, soft drinks and more.
There also will be children's games, princess tiaras for sale and more.
One hundred percent of the donations will be given directly to the family. Donations also are being accepted at any Harris Bank for the Princess Teagan Fund.
