Country Club Hills man charged in teen's stabbing
A 22-year-old man is in custody in one of the five homicides committed in less than two weeks in the southern Chicago suburb of Country Club Hills.
Benard Woods is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old George Britton.
Britton was stabbed during a fight in a convenience store parking lot Tuesday and died two days later. Woods turned himself in to authorities on Sunday.
Woods' attorney, John Lyke, says Woods doesn't have anything to hide.
Country Club Hills police say five people have been killed there in a little more than a week, the same number killed in the last decade.
Mayor Dwight Welch says only one case remains open -- the first. An elderly couple were found shot in their home Jan. 29.
